Planica goes to a Hockey Game in Ottawa Planica's second annual hockey trip to Ottawa was the best yet! Over 90 enthusiastic fans gathered to watch Matt Stajan (and the rest of the Maple Leafs) triumph over the Senators in an exciting overtime and shootout. The weekend also featured a great meal before the bus ride, as well as the usual winter activities that make Planica a favourite in our hearts. |

Thanksgiving
weekend on Planica - October 2006

The weather could not have been any
better, three days of warm sunshine. The golf tournament was enjoyed by
all, as usual, with the winning team composed of Mary Dolenc, Boris Hull,
Mike Muhic and Martin Skirt.
Sunday started with Fr. John celebrating Mass and ended with about 50
people enjoying Thanksgiving dinner and giving thanks for all the
blessings received in the past year.
Planica Hunting and Fishing Club was established in 1976. A group of ten friends wished for a place of their own, where their children and friends could come on weekends and enjoy clean air and other outdoor activities. For this purpose, they purchased 250 acres in Hastings County in the Province of Ontario.
